The Directors
BRYAN FERGUSON, Director, is responsible for the intruder/fire alarm side of Claymore. He has over 20 years experience in the industry.
He previously worked for Lander Alarms in London and MMS Alarms in Australia where he maintained the security systems for the Kalgoorlie gold mines in Western Australia.
He returned to Scotland in 1991 to form Claymore.
GRAEME MACDONALD, Director, is responsible for the Locksmith side of the business. With over 20 years experience in the industry Graeme has Master Locksmith status.
He previously worked for a leading oil company in Kazakhstan where he oversaw the installation of their master key system. He also ran his own successful business in Edinburgh before joining forces with Bryan in 1995.
JAN KING, Director, is responsible for the running of the office at Hardgate. She graduated with an HND in Business and Marketing in 1987 and left College to pursue a career in
Advertising and Marketing. Jan worked as a Media Planner/Buyer for Hall and Timberbush Advertising in Edinburgh for a total of 8 years before leaving to take up the
position of Marketing Communications Manager at MDi Systems based in East Lothian. She joined Claymore in 1997. Jan regulates the financial side of the business and plans and produces promotional material for the Company.
Established in 1991, Claymore Lock & Alarm Company became a Limited Company in May 2002. Claymore provides a 'one stop security service' by supplying and installing;
intruder alarms, safes, locks, CCTV, access control and fire detection.
Professional staff are available at the shop in Haddington to offer customers advice on all aspects of security. The shop stocks a wide range of domestic security products,
door furniture, house signage and also provides an efficient key cutting service.
A free security survey can be arranged on request.

SSAIB - Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board
Claymore Lock & Alarm Company Ltd is a full member of the SSAIB. This inspectorate requires recognized firms to comply with their 'Criteria for Recognition' designed to ensure the probity and competence of recognized firms.
Compliance with the criteria is enforced by inspection at regular intervals not exceeding 12 months. Security systems installed by SSAIB recognized firms must comply with all relevant standards and codes of practice.
The SSAIB is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). UKAS is the sole national body recognized by government for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, certification and inspection bodies.
MLA - Master Locksmith Association
Graeme MacDonald is a member of the Master Locksmith Association and Claymore Lock & Alarm Company Ltd is a trade member in the general locksmith division. The MLA has a customer charter and approved companies are inspected periodically to stringent standards including a sampling inspection of recent installations.
Companies are dedicated to provide skilled and accurate workmanship, and are positively encouraged to maintain standards in Training, Equipment and Best Practices.
Claymore Lock & Alarm Company Ltd are members of Construction line and are also on the Lothian and Borders Police list of recognized installers and the Scottish Office list of approved contractors.
